You'll Always Be My Baby.

Oh, Mariah, you've got me clinging to your catchy 90's beat today as I look at my son in his damn 12-18m flannel lined pants. You put it well, girlfriend. I'm sure you were referring to a mother's love for her son in your 1996 chart toppin' hit Always Be My Baby. No? An estranged lover, you say? Hmmm ... well, I think the message is strangely universal this time around.

You'll always be a part of me
I'm a part of you, indefinitely
Boy, don't you know you can't escape me
Ooh darling, cause you'll always be my baby.
And we'll linger on ...
Do do doop ah.
Do do doop do doop du dum.

Baby Leggin' Lovin'

I've been hard core crushing on all things geometric baby leggings, lately. Mix that with my current
o b s e s s i o n  with arrows, and it's no wonder I drooled over these Candy Kirby Design duds for days.
Although these, and every other pair in her collection, are absolutely adorable + I would most likely die of a heart attack if they landed on my doorstep, I could never ever justify breaking into the ol' piggy bank to purchase $38.oo pants for my infant. If you can, you should. And your baby will definitely be the flyest kid on the block. Yet at the rate Parker's growing, he'd only be able to rock these cuties a few months and then I'd want to break into the now empty piggy bank to purchase the next print in the next size up ... and the vicious cycle would continue until Parkerman and I were livin' on the streets. Or something a bit less dramatic. Like my parent's house.
So instead, I made my way to trusty ol' Walmart to pick up some $3.88 little lady leggings, then headed to the craft store [with coupons in hand] to grab two fabric pens. The white&black arrow leggings pictured up above were my inspiration, however I wanted to switch up the colors and create white arrows on black pants. Here's what I came up with.

It's no Candy Kirby, but for a grand total of $6.88, it'll do. And when Parker grows an inch by next week, I just may attempt the black triangles.
